I lived for many years in northern Colorado, hiking, climbing, skiing, and photographing over much of the state. Yet, in recent years living in Kansas, my visits to the state I consider more 'home' than any other have become rather rare. This, in keeping to my purpose of showing only recent work, work shown here is rather limited in comparison to the wealth of wildlife and varied landscapes to be found in the state. Many of the images in this gallery come from the area around Crested Butte, in the south central part of the state. This area was one of Nancy Rotenberg’s favorite locations for the proliferation of wildflowers each summer. This set of images come from a trip I made in July 2010 to visit my friend and colleague, photographer Dick O’Kell, who has a summer residence in Crested Butte.
