The Great Plains may not have the majesty of the high mountains
nor the drama of an ocean shore, but they possess colors,
subtleties, and a drama all their own. The Great Plains are
my adopted home and on them I find the same nature that
I found in more dramatic landscapes of my youth. It took a
long time to create the plains from ocean deposits subsequently
uplifted, and capturing the beauty of the plains demands
similar patience from the photographer.
