A single image may fulfill several purposes, and I am on the lookout for images that stress expression of symbolic or abstract concepts.. In a city like Florence, those are not difficult to find. Frequently I use multiple exposure or composite images to illumine concepts. There are several of those in this section. If nothing else, pursuit of the abstract gives me an excuse to play and to experiment. Some of this group of images are serious, others are just playful.
