My first two weeks in Italy remained spectacularly rain-free, but on this day my luck began to change, not for better, not for worse, just change. The storm clouds forming that evening to the north of Montepulciano forecast wet conditions that would arrive in two day’s time and stay with me for much of the rest of the trip. Being as adaptable as a photographer as I am at life, the new conditions brought me grand new opportunities, some of the fruits of which you will see elsewhere in this presentation.
