We found another large field of poppies at La Foce, a small village south of Montepulciano, about half the distance toward Monte Amiata, an extinct volcano some twenty km southwest. Although the flowers were not so numerous as in other locations we'd visited, there were very pleasing backgrounds in several different directions.
