Foggy light is not very different from diffused light except that fog can create an ethereal, other-worldly feel to the image. This quality can work well with grand landscapes as fog tends to give the lighting a sense of being internally illuminated whereas diffused light from high clouds merely produces flat, uninteresting lighting that is wonderful for isolating small parts of a landscape as well as for macro work.
