On a pre-dawn trip from our lodging at Lucarelli to a shoot at San Gimignano, we passed this farm house and marveled at the flower-covered entry. Sunrise over the medieval town loomed more important so we did not stop at the farm house but returned after finishing at San Gimignano. We stopped and asked permission to photograph, generously granted, and spent more than an hour. To be sure, the light was high and hard, but you take what you can get, and sometimes magic happens even in less than ideal conditions.
