Typical of Tuscan countryside, the early mists hung think across the lines of hills stretching away to the Apennine Mountains to the east in this image made a few minutes after sunrise. The sun had not yet reached my sheltered location, but is brightly illuminating the distant mountains. By 8:00 a.m. the mists had burned off, yielding to a bright, sunny day.
