The cypress-lined drive caught my attention as the sun rose over the hillsl. An occasional early car, its occupant on the way to market or to a job, traversed the road, from a distance softly breaking the morning stillness. The sun, filtered through the dawn fog, produced the warm miasma in this image. The warmth of the early morning and evening light is very much cherished for its ability to evoke a strong emotional response in viewers. Strong imagery is the photographer's reward for rolling out of bed in the pre-dawn hours, skipping dinner and going to bed late.
