This image is all about tonal contrast. This iris was in shade but well illuminated from the northern sky. I’ve focused closely on the center of the flower, eliminating every color except yellow. Yellow is the color of sunlight, of happiness, and contentment. There is an energy present in yellow, but not as intense an energy as exists in red.
