Dearest, beloved, cherished, Yu: Our time together in Oregon, our sharing of art, thought, and selves, and the incredible sense of zhi1 ji3 are – and will remain – among the most treasured memories from a long and varied life. Though the intense emotion of this moment will pass and though we are now largely estranged from one another, I will forevermore, until I take my last breath, be profoundly in love with you.
