This lagoon forms the entrance to the trails ashore at Punta Moreno. The landing is dry, but the tide was out and the rocks were extremely slippery. Despite the extensive mangrove lagoons along the shores, just a few feet inland one is greeted with barren rough lava from geologically recent flows.
