Where I live at 37 degrees north latitude, fuchsia just doesn’t
do very well unless one has a greenhouse. I don’t and my house
is always too warm or too drafty so my attempts at fuchsia cultivation
have never been very successful. Thus, when I travel to more
southerly latitudes, I have always been jealous of the profusion
of splendid fuchsia. This particular plant is at a unique location
– The Octopus’s Garden – in Las Cruz where I’ve gone several
times for wonderful food and to purchase Huichol Indian art.
The story behind The Octopus' Garden is fascinating. Visit their
website to learn about
it's history. |
