On June 30, 2005, I returned from a trip to Italy
and was fortunate in that it was a day-time flight, that I had a window
seat on the right side of the aircraft, and that the window itself was
free from scratches. Half-way through the nine hour flight we crossed
the southern tip of Greenland, and the views were heart-stopping all during
the entire seventeen minutes it took to cross the island. Here are the
best from the 30 images shot from 33,000 feet. All images created with
a Nikon D70 and a VR 24-120 f/3.5 lens. |
