Every photographer knows the difficulty of achieving great
depth of field when using a telephoto lens. Yet, the restricted
angle of view of such a lens is what makes the tele-macro
lens the optic of choice for tight flower shots. As I viewed
this scene, I wanted three different blossoms in as many planes
to be in focus, but was too close to achieve that goal even
with the lens stopped all the way down. The solution was to
create a composite of three images, each one of which would
focus sharply on one of the blossoms. |
