Waterfalls Of Washington

Nearly all of the waterfalls which I've photographed in Washington (and all of the the falls in this presentation) are in or near Olympic National Park. I've made two trips to the Park, a very brief 24-hour scouting trip in February 2004 and an eight-day excursion in June 2006. Both trips were woefully short in the amount of time needed to do this incredible area justice. Many of the falls are in one of the most remote regions in Washington. Bryan Swan has cataloged 143 falls in the Olympic region; I present to you here six of them, plus two streams which, though not technically a waterfall, nonetheless poses interest for those who enjoy the sight and sound of rapidly moving water.
